THE PRICE AWARD

HOLLYWOOD HORRORFEST has been the proud home of the official PRICE AWARD - an award that celebrates VINCENT PRICE’S unique artistic and iconic legacy by “honoring an artist whose work has achieved equally iconic status in the horror/fantasy genres.”

Presented by VINCENT’S daughter, VICTORIA PRICE, previous PRICE AWARD recipients include JOE DANTE (GREMLINS, HOWLING), CASSANDRA PETERSON (ELVIRA’S HAUNTED HILLS), SID HAIG (SPIDER BABY, HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES) and JOHN LANDIS (AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON and MICHAEL JACKSON’S THRILLER).

In 2025 we're proud to be presenting the award to the iconic make-up artist RICK BAKER.

At every award show VICTORIA presents a multi-media talk about her father, the real Vincent Price, through her uniquely personal stories and photos, and bring awareness to her father’s museum and art legacy.

HHF would like to personally thank VICTORIA PRICE & the Price Family Estate for their generous support and help in creating this unique Award.

Afterwards our Award Winners sit down with festival head, MILES FLANAGAN, for a cosy ‘Johnny Carson-style’ conversation about the inspirations, challenges and history of their enduring and influential work in film. The event even comes with its own ‘chat show-style’ house band, THE SLAUGHTERED LAMBS, to keep the relaxed vibe going. 

This year the event is a Fundraiser for the PRICE SCHOLARSHIP - giving financial aid to Art Students in Los Angeles. 

So here’s to our next (as yet unnamed) PRICE AWARD recipient.
